Fat Willys’ Family Sports Grill in Dove Valley on Black Mountain Parkway closed its doors permanently on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Fat Willys’ purchased the in Cave Creek property for 1.2 million in June of 2021. After undergoing extensive remodel of the inside dining room and outside patio, it opened in the fall.
Fat Willys’ is the second business to occupy the buliding, in The Shops at Dove Valley, the first being Gallaghers Sports Pub which closed during the pandemic. The business has reportedly been sold, but as of this writing, no buyer is being identified.
